Knight Takes Queen

Mask-driven spherical video storytelling.

Night Takes Queen is a spherical 360 degree video shot from the perspective of a chess piece and viewed wearing a knight-themed head mask containing a Google Cardboard viewer.

The ten second micro-narrative plays in a continuous loop to facilitate 360 degree exploration.

Knight Takes Queen was conceived, shot and constructed in 90 minutes in collaboration with Rachel Boyce during a session taught by David Lockard at ITP Camp 2017.
